Magnetic separator is mainly used for separation. when mineral particles and ore particles into the magnetic separator, because of the different magnetic, under the effect of magnetic field, the magnetic particles enter into the concentration pool, non-magnetic mineral grains into the tailings ponds.

Magnetic separation method is widely used in ferrous metal ore sorting, selection of the nonferrous and precious metal ore, recovery and purification of heavy media separation of magnetic medium, etc

Processing magnetite can effectively improve the ore grade, according to different requirements can get 30-55% of iron essence pink.

Crushing Process

Ore processing plant commonly has two processes: crushing & screening, beneficiation process.

In this process, large ore materials become small by the help of mechanical force. The crushing process is important during the treatment of ores. It is divided into four stages: crushing, grinding & classification, superfine crushing and micronization. It is a high energy-consuming operation, and its basic principle is “more crushing, less grinding”.

Vibrating screen: Of all the dressing machines, the vibrating screen is designed to screen stone materials. The movement locus of vibrating screen is a circle. Inclined vibrating screen, which makes circle motion, is a new-style vibrating screen with multiple levels and high efficiency. By adopting barrel–type eccentric shaft vibrator and technology of partial block adjusting amplitude, screening line becomes longer.

grinding and classification system

The ball mill with spiral classifier form a closed circuit system, less than 120 mesh into the magnetic separator for roughing( magnetic field strength is 1800-2200 GS), bigger than 120 mesh back into the ball mill for grinding again.

After roughing, concentration go into high frequency sieve, particles that are less than 160 mesh get into magnetic separator (the magnetic field strength to 1600-2800 GS) for choice, bigger than 160 mesh go into the second ball mill for grinding.

the tailings of magnetic separator go into the tailings pool, after dealing by the press filter, water can be used again. the water recovery rate reached 80%.

The closed circuit system is designed for many times in this system, effectively improve the recovery rate, reduce the energy consumption and low production cost, it is a common way to deal with iron ore.
